    Hey everyone!

    I’m having an amazing launch so far. I was really gratified by how many people bought my book, both in-person and online.

    It’s definitely make me think that, with a little more time and effort on my part, I could eventually do this full-time.

    Blackbird Books & Spirits in Belton, TX were really awesome in letting someone like me – a first-time author with no following – a chance to participate in a book signing.

    I’m also really grateful, of course, to those who chose to take a chance on me and buy my book!

    Here’s how the story goes:

    Sixteen-year-old Brett escapes into fantasy novels to cope with his parents’ divorce — until a one-armed girl appears from the pages of a book he’s reading with no memory of who she is or how she got there.

    Before Brett can figure out who she is, they are attacked by a powerful sorceress and the sworn enemy of the mysterious girl, Nimue.

    Brett inadvertently transports them back to Nimue’s world, where she remembers who she is: a tribal leader of a persecuted people. She vows to kill the Terror King, the tyrannical ruler responsible for their suffering, by any means necessary.

    The only way for Brett to get home is to find the book, which has been taken by the sorceress deep within the Terror King’s capital city. But he can’t get there without Nimue.

    Brett must decide whether finding his way home is worth helping Nimue sacrifice millions of innocent lives.

  • Past 50K words for new bard-centric novel!

    Hi all!

    It’s been a crazy couple weeks but I finally made it past 50K words for my new bard-related novel, which is currently unpublished but I’m really excited about it!

    I don’t even have a name for it yet. In my Google doc, I just called it ‘The Bard,’ but I doubt that will be the name of the final draft.

    It seems like this is going to be another coming-of-age tale, but I feel that there will be more than one book. It might even be a trilogy.

    I’ve always had an admiration for musicians and this story is sort of a love letter to that tradition.

    I’ll keep you guys updated as things progress.
